2010 Memberships Now Available

You can now join or renew for 2010. If you do so, you'll get Slingshot for six issues starting with that for January 2010. We are now out of stock of the 2009 back issue sets.

Postage, worldwide, is included in the subscription cost. Payment is via Paypal; Paypal should automatically convert your currency. You do not need a pre-existing Paypal account to use the site: Paypal accepts one-off payments. If you're in a territory not supported by Paypal, contact the Membership secretary using the form on the Contacts page and we'll try and work something out.

You can add to the shopping cart from any of the store pages listed to the left. Click on "more details" for more about any particular item.

Note: If you don't want to buy the products online, please download the postal sales form from our Downloads page. A 2010 membership form is now available from the same page (or link directly from the menu to the left). A third option (to using this cart, or to using the postal service) is to just go to Paypal and use the "Send Funds" function there to wire payments directly to membership AT soa.org.uk (replace the AT with an @); this may be helpful if you want to use the online service but are having problems with it.

  Standard membership for calendar year 2010. Note the fee includes postage, worldwide. The membership (and Slingshot subscription) will run from January 2010 to the end of 2010. If you want 2009 issues, you'll need a 2009 membership (see below).

  • By joining you will receive 6 copies of the magazine "Slingshot" for this calendar year.
  • The Membership Year runs from January to December. If you join part way through the year, any issues already published will be sent to you.
  • In most years, if you resubscribe before February you will receive a bonus item. In 2008 this was the game "Roma Invicta".
  • You will be sent a Memberhip Card & Membership Number, which you may use with a number of suppliers to obtain discounts.
  • Please allow 28 days for your membership to be processed.

  • Membership can either be completed on-line here, with payment by PayPal or Credit Card, or alternatively you may download a form using the link to the left, to send in your application by mail.
  • Membership will be charged in £ Sterling and converted at time of purchase.

  Family membership for calendar year 2010 - should be bought as an addition to standard membership, for additional family members. Provide benefits of membership - access to discounts, voting, etc. - without a subscription to Slingshot.

  A family membership provides the benefits of society membership, except for a Slingshot subscription. The assumption is that the household's vital Slingshot subscription will be delivered via the main membership to which the family membership is attached.
